Possible symptoms. Should I be worried?

Hello, I’m new here, I’m 18 and I’ve been experiencing some odd symptoms in the past few months and am currently on a waiting list to be seen by a doctor, and I am worrying it could be leukimia. here are some of the things I’ve been experiencing:

-frequent unexplained deep bruising
Appearing on legs (sometimes the bruises are really big, other times their small)

-fatigue and dizziness despite my labs being perfect (no anemia) from when I went to the hospital a few months ago

- vomiting blood (this only happened once, hence why I went to the hospital)

-recent loss of appetite, Some days I don’t feel hungry at all, other days when I do feel hungry I can only eat a very small amount at once without feeling full, this appeard strange to me because I am usually a very hungry person.

-Weight loss that feels to easy, most likely due to eating less, before all of this I was attempting to diet for weight loss but now it feels like I’m losing weight without even trying.

-recently feeling like I’m really hot at night, but only a little sweating, but usually goes away once I stay still and fall asleep

-pain in my legs when I bend down or crouch, not a new symptom but i felt I should mention it

-occasional sharp pains in abdomen, becoming more frequent, usually lasting for at most a minute then going away

If anyone in the medical/health care field or this community could help with some opinions or advice it would be much appreciated.

  1. First, let me say that I feel what you are going through. It is very disconcerting and upsetting to have stuff going on with your body and you aren't sure if it's serious or not. It can be very stressful, to say the least. That being said now comes the part that you probably won't like - unfortunately it is nearly impossible to diagnose or even guess at a diagnosis of what's going on from the things you've listed (if we even could do that, which we can't). There is a reason that oncologists go through a litany of tests and biopsies before they declare it is this or that - it is because outward physical signs can, unfortunately, mean so many different things. I know it is frustrating and anxiety-producing to have to sit and wait with your own thoughts until you get to see a doctor but just the fact that you are proactive and you have taken the first step is a big thing. No matter what happens, we will be here for you to help when and if the time comes, just make sure to keep us in the loop and feel free to ask any questions you like. Above all - you are not alone. Keep on keepin' on, DPM
