Did you experience fatigue after receiving CAR T-Cell Therapy?

"My strength slowly returned at what felt like a snail’s pace. I remember still being so fatigued at my thirty-day appointment and asking my oncologist when it would let up. By my sixty-day appointment and another clean scan, the fatigue was finally letting up. There is a small hill on a road near my home that I walk with my dog almost daily. I could only make it to the base of the hill and could not climb it, but I finally graduated up to climbing that hill again. "

  1. Yes, it can be rough in the beginning for some but in time things start to even itself out. I'm happy to hear that the fatigue has lowered a bit so that you can now make more strides on that road you mentioned. Wishing you the very best!

    1. no

      1. Yes. 3 months in and still get extremely tired and sleep a lot.

        1. I hate to say it, but even two years into remission I still get a few days a month here and there that I have to sleep until noon. It may be that my body still needs extra recharging time from all the damage the cancer and chemo did, but I'm not so sure it will ever totally go away! Small price to pay for aliveness, though! You are not alone, though and it does get better!! Keep on keepin' on, DPM
