Has cancer made food taste different for you?
Changes in taste can be a frustrating side effect of cancer treatments. Whether food suddenly tastes off or has lost its flavor entirely, what has your experience been?
My meds have stolen my sense of smell and taste.
Most foods do not satisfy cravings.
Many of my favorites left me very sick. I have quit many of them completely. Tried to go back a couple of times, but just don't want to be that sick. I have lived without them for several years, so I just moved on.
for the first 6 months or so after BMT everything had a bland cardboard taste. Not very motivating to eat. However, my taste buds gradually rebounded and now 5 years post BMT I'm enjoying trying new dishes and flavors.
