Chronic lymphatic leukaemia

Hi my husband just found out today he has chronic lymphatic leukaemia

  1. The time when you are first diagnosed can be overwhelming and scary, for the patient themselves and all their loved ones around them. They are throwing information at your left and right and you are Googling things like crazy, trying to make sense of it all. Please know - this is all a normal response to being told you or a loved one has cancer! We are here to help however we can and you are not alone!! SO many of us have gone through this already and will be happy to give our advice, info, help, or support. It is the beginning of a long journey that will change the definition of "normal," for sure, but it doesn't mean that life is over. Please keep us in the loop and let us know if we can do anything. Keep on keepin' on, DPM

    1. how are you and your husband feeling about the diagnosis? I know sometimes people are relieved to finally receive a diagnosis if they've been having symptoms. Has he been noticing symptoms prior to diagnosis? I'm sure you're being educated about CLL, but I am linking an article that may be helpful. https://blood-cancer.com/cll-leukemia. Wishing you the best in moving forward with a plan of care. We're here to support you if you have questions, concerns or just want to share.
