Acute mylofibrosis

I am a caretaker for a spouse with acute mylofibrosis. He was diagnosed last year and was prescribed Jakafi but he became anemic so they switched to ojjara but it turned out his low platelets turned out to be due to the cancer not the ojjara. Now he is going for chemotherapy shots in his belly to delay the cancer. It’s been a long journey and would appreciate any comments on this type of cancer

  1. We definitely have other community members going through this. https://blood-cancer.com/stories/i-am-living-with-a-diagnosis-of-myelofibrosis It is rarer, but it's not unheard of. Being a caretaker, though, is also a journey of it's own. I have been on both sides of the coin and each has it's own trials an tribulations. Just know we are here if there's anything we can do to help. Keep on keepin' on, DPM
