Burning pain when I eat. What do I do to eat without pain?

I’m not doing as well as I would like. I can’t eat much of anything because of searing burning pain that is triggered my almost any kind of food. I’m 5’10” and down to 128#. I don’t know what to do to eat. I can’t have tube or IV feeding because of infection riskS.

  1. MandaK - I'm sorry to hear that you've been having so much difficulty. Have you spoken to your oncology team about this at all? We always encourage you to talk to your healthcare providers about any new or worsening symptoms. They may be able to recommend foods that are easier to digest. Keep us posted. Warmly, Pam (Blood-Cancer.com Team Member)

    1. I am sorry to hear of your discomfort. Many things can cause a burning pain when you eat. It is always best to talk this over with the healthcare professionals that manage your care. It is something that should not be ignored. Once your doctor discovers what is causing the pain there may be a simple treatment. Best of luck and let us know what you find out.

      Best always, Cindy
