CML
Hey all!
I was diagnosed in 2023 purely by accident via kidney stones, which required having a nephrostomy bag attached to my left kidney. The doctor suggested that I see an oncologist. Having worked in the medical field I knew what that meant.
I began treatment in December 2023 and am still taking meds even though I have reached remission! I was a little confused because I thought that once you are in remission that you no longer need meds, boy was I wrong! The first medication tasigna did what it was supposed to, however I began to feel drained. Medication change is working better for me.
This journey has definitely been emotionally draining!!!!!
