The Good Cancer?

In a recent poll, the community overwhelmingly agreed that the term 'good cancer' is misleading and dismissive. How do you react when someone uses that term about your blood cancer?

  1. There is no “good cancer”. While CLL is thought to be better than some cancers, mine transformed to DLBCL. CLL can cause extreme fatigue, night sweats, fever, swollen lymph nodes, none of which are “good” & treatments are very expensive.

    1. Nod

      1. & : I often suspect that folks do not know what to say when learning of your diagnosis. These days, I do better by moving on and ignoring the misdirected comments. Dennis(Blood-Cancer.com TEAM)

        1. Yes i wish people will stop saying that

          1. Totally agree. It may be their way of saying it could be worse, however, cancer of any kind is not a walk in the park. Sometimes even those we count on in the medical field get it wrong on this one, thanks for sharing!
