Does Turmeric really help with joint pain

I really need to start a way to manage my joint pain. Hoping someone can tell me if Turmeric and such things really helps. I’m usually so positive about things but i just had to put my 9 1/2 month old puppy to sleep after being hit by a car. Its so hard for the past two days to keep going and just not be sad, heart broken and just devastated. I know i needed but i’m struggling.
