Go to meal

When you're so tired and don't want to cook but still know you need to eat, what's your favorite go to easy-to-make-meal?

Mine is probably eggs with toast. I like to make a sandwich out of it. Sometimes I even put bacon in it if I'm feeling fancy lol. I've started buying bacon that's pre-cooked so all I have to do is throw it in the microwave. Not as good as freshly cooked bacon I'll admit but it's helpful to not have to cook something extra.

  1. I like making sandwiches. Turkey, with cheese and sometimes tomatoes. Grilled cheese with ham sometimes or regular grilled cheese. And soup. I like progressive and Campbell's

    1. I was just talking to my friends about how I dip my eggs in ketchup and apparently unless you're from the North it's a crime LOL

    2. I’m definitely a sucker for a grilled cheese sandwich 🥪 🤤 😋 with sweet tomato soup 🥣 the way my dad use to make tomato 🍅 soup so yummy ‼️

  2. There's nothing like a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

    1. yes! Classic, quick, and fast 💨

    2. Yep, Indeed!

  3. I buy medium rye bread at the bakery and it is so good with an agg ! We have the same taste! So nice in the belly! Fruit and greek yogurt keep me filled in the afternoon. Coffee and a muffin can really make my morning 😀

    1. I find some honey on the Greek yogurt does wonders Natural and good for you.

    2. Yes! A dollop of honey swirled in the yogurt tastes wonderful. Honey is such a great antioxidant! I saw an old photo once of patients (prior to antibiotics) attached to facemasks which were attached to honeybee hives. The belief was that the antioxidants from the hive would help rid the disease.
I do the honey/greek yogurt daily with my meds. The meds are pretty harsh on the stomach and I find the honey/yogurt mix relieves the stomach irritation .

  4. I put myself on a diet to help with my RA, that inadvertently also helps with the cancer, and even though it gets a little boring eating the same thing most days it also relieves so much of the stress of worrying about what to cook, what to buy, what to make, etc. It's one of the few benefits. Keep on keepin' on, DPM

    1. I can see how that would help make things easier. I'm glad you found something that works for you! 😀
