It's Myeloma Action Month: What's it like to live with an incurable condition?

This Myeloma Action Month we want to continue to raise awareness about multiple myeloma. Share what it's like to live with an incurable blood cancer below.

  1. It truly is an experience like no other, and for me, I've learned to live every day at its own pace. You also learn the power of prayer and your relationship with faith, because it is a journey of great reflection and prayer for a future you don't quite know how it's going to turn out.

    1. Yep, we really do. It's life somewhat as usual with a twist. The saga continues!

    2. I am in agreement as well🙋🏾‍♀️♥️

  2. I am at the beginning of my journey. I don't think my friends and family quite understand that "life as we know it" is over. I am by nature a positive person and always try to look on the bright side so I am not feeling "my life is over" but I am unsure of what my life will be like. I have an 11 year old daughter and my biggest concerns stem from how this will affect our life as mother and daughter doing things together. Until now, we go places and do things all the time. It's definitely an adjustment right now for both of us.

    1. I'm happy you don't feel life is over because it's not. You'll still be able to do and live, with some slight adjustments depending on your motions with what happens next. You keep on being an awesome mama and giving your daughter the love that you've been giving her thus far. This is a day-by-day adjustment, but you will get through it. You got this. Wishing you the very best!

    2. #ButGod🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 ⚓️ Amen my Source and you have all of us who know exactly what your going through even though are stories are different the struggles that come we get it 🫂🫂🫂💗 and we are all pushing through the resistance. You got this 💪🏾🌹 and support is here♥️

  3. For me my 6 days in the hospital on oxygen with COVID and drugs was the worst .. truly thought I was going to die + it took months to recover and probably still am

    1. Hey Dennis, hang in there buddy! Know where you are coming from as I have had Covid 19 starting in 2020 and just recently this past April along with the respiratory things that seem to follow. My Oncologist tells me that MM is not going to kill me, but it will probably be something else! Just take it one day at a time with Faith, Family, and Friends things seem to be a lot brighter.

      1. Happy you have your positive network around you. Wishing you the very best!
