How has your life changed after diagnosis?

I will start. I woke up every morning and would look at my body wondering how I would change. I remember the day about 8 months later and my first thought was NOT that I have NN! Not that I don’t have issues like having rouse a cane or walking sticks outside. Occasional backaches from arthritic joints and still have to take 16 pills and supplements each day but I’m 76, and take care of myself. Sure I had to see my car. It I take Uber wherever I need to go!

  1. it's great you are finding ways to make adjustments in your daily activities and keep living fully.

My life has changed since diagnosis (in 2007) in that I am now much more conscious of doing the things that keep me healthy such as diet, exercise, meditation. Yes, I get fatigued and have to manage those days differently, but I'm still learning to be easy with myself and take things as they come instead of placing expectations on myself.

Thanks for sharing this! We learn by watching each other.

    1. Hi ! That's a great question. I think the biggest change for me has been priorities. Things I once cared so much about now couldn't matter less to me. I try to make more time for the things that are truly important. It was a big silver lining.
