Processing cancer as a young adult

I was 15 when being diagnosed with AML and all I remember is wanting to play sports, hang out with my friends, and be socially accepted. As a young adult experiencing cancer what were/are some of your main focus’ in life during this time? And what things in your life influence(d) you to reflect back on your experience with cancer?

  1. Does age really make a difference with a cancer diagnosis?

    I suspect not ...

Having been through 5 cancer diagnoses ( 3 real and 2 errors thank goodness ) starting in my 20's then again in my 70's, I believe any such diagnosis is an emotional experience at any age.

And in the end all we really want ... I suspect ...is to live life to its fullest and hopefully ... not miss too many of the many wonderful opportunities life has to offer 😀
