What are the symptoms of blood cancer?

What are some symptoms of blood cancer? What is a good test to find out if I have it?

  1. Hi - There are many different types of cancer that may be included under the general term of blood cancer, and each unique type has its own set of symptoms. There can be symptoms related to low red blood cells, low white blood cells, and low platelets. Other general symptoms caused by blood cancers include, unexpected weight loss, night sweats, loss of appetite, fatigue, enlarged lymph nodes, feeling fullness in the abdomen. Aches in the arms, legs or joints. It is important to remember general symptoms of blood cancer can also be caused by other conditions, and it is important to be evaluated by a healthcare professional.

There are several types of tests that are used to identify if someone has blood cancer, including: blood tests, imaging tests, and others. You can click on each type of test above for more information on each!

Thanks for your question! I hope this is helpful!

    1. Good Day - My diagnosis was made by a simple blood test on my yearly practitioner's office. My elevated protein levels was a sign that something was terribly wrong. I also found other signs but it didn't register at first. My bone oddly clicked when I walked upstairs, which was never the case at the time.
Great question- hope this was a bit helpful.
      Best Regards
      Yolanda
