Good question. Several years ago, I was at a low point like I am now. I was starting physical therapy after a bad achilles tendon tear and I could barely walk. I was watching the other patients working on machines, etc. and felt defeated, like I could never do it. Then I remembered my mom (who passed away 10 years ago). Well into her 80s, she would always try, try, try--be it a treadmill or exercise bike or just to get around with a cane and/or walker. I thought "if she could do it, I can do it." I have to remind myself that she didn't raise a quitter and eventually get my mojo back when it fades. Easier said than done sometimes, so I guess I look to those memories for inspiration.
