Antioxidants and Cancer

So I've always wondered about this point...

Do you think foods with antioxidants still hold validity if you already have cancer? Are those blueberries still helping your situation?

Hum...

Fruits high in antioxidants:
Blueberry
Cranberry
Watermelon
Kiwi
Grapefruits
Avocado
Pineapple

  1. That's a good point. I mean...I guess it doesn't hurt right? Even if something is helping and doesn't help get rid of a problem, it can still help lessen it. But I'm not a doctor lol.

    1. Yep, it doesn't hurt. I just find it interesting when they provide the how not to, but what is the flip side when it happens anyway? : )

    2. I gotcha! 😀

  2. I've had a severe allergic reaction to kiwi. It was the first kiwi I ever ate and it was my last. The ER doc mentioned that it is not the kiwi, but the pesticides used to protect the crop that I had reacted to. My rule is to buy local as much as I can. Stay within the seasons for the freshest produce, the less travelled the better. With a weakened immunity this means more to me than ever before. This is my take on it. And yanno what? It tastes so much better than anything that has travelled for weeks. Bonus!!

    1. Yeah, that's another flip side the foods that may be deemed as beneficial hit roadblocks when their' own make-up has things in or on it that defeat the purpose.
Local is good when you can find them. Keep at it!
