I was diagnosed with Plasma Cell Leukemia in June 2020!

I was started on chemotherapy immediately.

They will harvest my stem cells in September 2020, and I will have an autologous stem cell transplant in October 2020.

I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma a blood cancer and it eats at my bones...I've had broke pelvic and broke ribs last week I had ct scan got 2 more broke ribs very painful...I have a autoglass stem cell transplant probably after first of year I go back to UK October 2 so I'll find our everything then

 I too have multiple fractured vertebrae and ribs. You are the first person I have connected with that has broken bones with this disease. I wish you the best! It is a horrific battle!

I also started CHEMO for my blood cancer in August. One word of advice is to be sure you are consuming enough liquid. I have been truly amazed in my case how much water you need to prevent issues. So far I have 3 treatments under my belt and I will say the entire process has been a learning experience. Learning to speak up sooner then later when it comes to questions and concerns. I was diagnosed with Waldenstroms and was put on chemo, starting with Velcade, it almost killed me and I was taken off after 4 months and I was immediately put on Imbruvica once a day, it has dropped my IgM levels from almost 6,000 per unit of blood to 1,000, it’s amazing.

I ended up having an autologous stem cell transplant on November 27, 2020. I was in the hospital for 16 days! I continue to feel better every day! My lab numbers have all recovered and are back to normal! I go on walks with my wife several times a week! I am scheduled for a bone marrow biopsy on January 25, 2021! I will meet with my doctor about a week after that to discuss maintenance therapy!
