The Long Journey

At the young age of 36, I was diagnosed with the “older peoples” disease of CLL. Despite the diagnosis, I moved forward with marriage and family. I was told I “might not be able to raise the children.” No doubt anxiety set in eventually due to the worry and what-ifs. At age 50, I finally agreed to an antidepressant, which has helped me stay focused on the here and now. I am eternally grateful for answered prayers and this wonderful “gift of life”. I have been treatment free all these years and am doing my best to exercise, eat clean, and live my best life!!
