Is Fatigue Common with Stage 1 Follicular Lymphoma?

I am recently diagnosed and am struggling with fatigue. Not sure if it is cancer or not.

  1. Hey - I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis and that you are struggling with fatigue, but you are certainly not alone. Fatigue is one of the most common symptoms and side effects of blood cancer and treatments. Here are a few links that may help you understand a bit more about your fatigue: Symptoms, Outrunning Fatigue. One of our advocates, who is also diagnosed with FL, wrote about her experience with fatigue in this article: Cancer Related Fatigue Can Be Incapacitating. I hope these are helpful! Sending hugs and positive vibes your way, Anthony (Team Member)

    1. It is extremely common, and something I think all of us experience at some point. As Anthony said you can check out my article Outrunning Fatigue and it should help to put things in perspective. Just keep in mind no one can do more than they can do, and some days you just won't be able to. Be fine with it, I know, easier said than done, but for now, temporarily, give yourself a break. You're gonna earn it, I promise, if you haven't already. Keep on keepin' on, DPM

      1. Thank you both. I have read the suggested articles.
