What is The Purpose of Your Life?

It is so easy to describe what you do such as I am a teacher, a scientist a homemaker etc. Now as a blood cancer survivor ask yourself what is your purpose and how does it impact others. For example you are not a teacher but perhaps someone who shows people how to succeed in life through the discovery of new skills

  1. I've been a journalist/editor all of my life. However, I find it a privilege now to use my professional skills to talk about my blood cancer and communicate messages that may help others or at least show them that they are not alone. That is an important "purpose," in my life now.

    1. I think that's right. It's better than writing about some of the other things I have to for my job like boring governmental meetings. LOL Susan

    2. It is so easy to put ourselves in boxes

  2. I'm an actor! I think after dealing with my illness, I'm in a good place now to help other people who may be sick, still have a place in the arts. I was so afraid I wouldn't be able to do theatre anymore because I thought I'd be unreliable since my body doesn't always do what I need it to. But I'm learning some ways around that! 😀

    1. Most people respond to the question what is your purpose with some type of career description . It sounds like your life purpose goes far beyond acting. Really is it not all about using your experience with blood cancer as a tool to educate others on how to overcome self doubt and live a productive life? Wow what a purpose 👍Dennis(blood-cancer.com TEAM)

      1. It's both lol. Acting is a core part of who I am and a part of the things I love. But I also love being able to help people. I'm blessed when I get to do both at the same time. 😀

    2. I'm the face on the other side of the turmoil. I believe it makes a difference when we see others in the same pickle of illness- thriving, and surviving. I'm an Author, Business Owner, Trainer, Mentor, and Motivation Speaker.
      Who knew...

      1. NSA is a pretty interesting organization for professional speakers on many levels - everything from how to position yourself in the market as a topic expertise to pricing and marketing etc.. It can also open up doors for international speaking - check it out if interested - This is not a Toastmaster kind of thing by a long shot ... Good luck Dennis(Blood-Cancer.com TEAM)

      2. Thank you.
