Time since diagnosis
How long has it been since you received a blood cancer diagnosis?
Six years on June 2nd.
As I was walking out of the oncologist's office that day, I remember thinking, Two weeks ago, had been my Retirement Reception. I hope retirement has been a fulfilling time despite your diagnosis. I'm guessing it was a concerning surprise at the time?
I think I was 22, so about 8 years ago. But I had it way before then, just didn't know what it was.
I'm happy for you that it wasn't a diagnosis that required urgency. I'm guessing that some things made sense for you once you found out what was going on in your body. I'm glad you are here and able to share about it. Thank you and yes absolutely. I still had my crying and scary moments thinking about everything that might have to happen, just without as much of the shock factor.
