Bone Marrow Transplant and A Thing Called GVHD

When we hear the words bone marrow transplant, automatically, we know we are dealing with something serious. We also know if the doctor is telling us that we are the ones needing the bone marrow transplant, something is wrong with our bodies. In our minds, an alarm with flashing lights goes off and there's a mini us pushing the panic button, and along with that panic button comes a wave, well, more like a roller coaster, of emotions.

Did you know there are some really cool fun facts to a bone marrow transplant? I learned about these facts while preparing for my transplant. In addition, I also experienced a thing called Graft-Versus-Host Disease, or GVHD.
