    Best!

    1. My husband is on chemo in the hospital and he has aml would like to hear other people that have or had dealt with it.

      1. what type of leukemia was your husband diagnosed with? Was the doctor trying to send him to someone who knows his type of cancer a bit better? When I was first diagnosed with Hairy Cell Leukemia, I was admitted to the hospital for treatment. I don't think it's the norm anymore, but there are so many different types of leukemia and chemo drugs. Different doctors recommend different ways sometimes. I'm curious, does his doctor believe the other blood condition had anything to do with the leukemia diagnosis? I hope that's not too many questions! We're here for you and your husband any time you want to share or ask questions. Wishing you both the best!

      2. sorry to have taken so long. Yes, the blood issue he had, sometimes develops into leukemia, hence the new specialist.

    2. Plan? What kind of plan?

      1. I can't speak for , but I am guessing she means a treatment plan. As I stated above, the plan can look different for each of us needing treatment. I was first diagnosed right before Christmas in 2007, and I was able to hold off on the treatment plan until after the holidays. And with some leukemias, watch and wait is the plan. Just hoping you and your husband are at peace with whatever you and his healthcare team decide.

      2. Wanted to also echo in ... as mentioned a plan can look different for everyone. The conversation of a plan, whatever that involves should be with a supportive medical team. The transparency should all be on the table for the wants and needs to make this all make sense—wishing you the very best!
