Rare Blood Cancer
I have Myelodysplastic - Abnormal Karyotype with 5Q Deletion of the long arm Chromosome 5. It is a long name and a rare blood cancer. I would like to find others who have this cancer. I was diagnosed in 2019 and was told that I have 2.5 to 5 years to live. I lived with a red blood count of 9 (normal is 12-15) for five years.
In January of 2024, my organs were clogged by cancer junk, and my red blood count dropped to 6, the doctor put me on Revlivid, and now I am at 10.9 red blood cells. Is there anyone else in this group who have this? I would like to know your story.
