My Valkyries

Every year the nurses at the Co. Blood Cancer Inst throw a little birthday party for me when I come in for blood labs. This year my visit was the day before my B-day. To show my gratitude for all they do for me, I did a painting of a blonde nurse riding a horse like a Valkyrie. It was a big hit.

But then the brunettes said, what about us? Valkyries also rode wolfs, so on my next visit, I had another painting for them. It's such a good feeling to see how happy they are when they see all the effort I go to, to thank them. My brother does computer graphics and joined them together. It's comforting to know they are fighting for me in this battle against leukemia.
