From Flu to AML

I found out I had AML 12 days later from my vacation to Ethiopia. On Feb 10, I went to the hospital that was close to me because I was not feeling good for 5 days after I got the flu when I went to school on the 5th of February. Spring class started on the 5th of February then I went to my night class and started getting sick. I couldn't recover from the flu at all in-fact it was getting worse. Then on Feb 10 2018 I went to the hospital and got diagnosed with AML.

I just read your post. How are you doing? I'm so glad you listened to your body and went to see the doctor. I wish you the best and hope everything is going well. Good luck to you.

Not only that my husband also divorced me after I told him I was diagnosed with cancer. Also the doctor want to do transplant in the future just to be on safe zone and he tested all my siblings. Therefore, one of my older brother was 100% match but the American embassy in Ethiopia wont issue medical visa to my brother because of the Trump administration. My brother tried three times and they denied him three times. Now I am trying to bring my mom to be with me because I am alone here in America. But I would like to thank you to my friends who been there for me as well as the lymphoma and leukemia society.
