Diagnosed with non-hodgkin's lymphoma back in 2003. The first treatment was in 2005. I've had 4 maybe 5 treatments in all. I recently had another CT scan and I have nodes still growing. We are in watching and waiting for now. I am hopefully optimistic, that when I need another treatment, it will work for me. Just in case though, I keep praying.

Like you, I am in watch-and-wait mode. I consider it a blessing because, at least for now, I do not have to experience any of the side effects chemo or other treatments would bring. I wish you well on your journey. Ann (Blood-Cancer.com Team member)

 <inline-mention username="Ann Harper" user-id="3637920"/> you won’t for a couple months then it slowly creeps up on you ! Chemo ruint my thyroid dr said so now I have to take a pill for that ! I’m so glad I figured it out that chemo was killing me ! 4 months after chemo and I’m feeling good , by the food I eat and the vitamins I’m taking !

I don't know what the future holds, but I'm trying to enjoy all I can. I'm sorry you had to go through so much due to your cancer treatment, I saw firsthand how hard on the body chemo can be when my daughter went through cancer. I'm glad you are doing better now. I am starting another chapter in my journey with non Hodgkins lymphoma. After a CT scan that showed some nodes in my neck and face growing again, my doctor sent me to Vanderbilt for a consult. The doctor at Vanderbilt recommended an immunotherapy drug Gazyva. I start treatment this coming Wednesday. This is a new drug to me, so I'm not sure what to expect. I've been kinda stressed over it and praying pretty hard. I hope this works.

Treatment of chemo will not work ! Research the foods to eat and all the vitamins you should be taking to make your body healthier to fight the cancer !

I was diagnosed with MGUS 10 years ago. But, recently some of my numbers are starting to increase, and I have bone pain, headaches, fatigue, and nausea. My hematologist ordered a bone marrow biopsy. I am scheduled for next week, and I am very scared. I am just looking to connect with people who might understand what I am going through.
