Have you changed your career path post diagnosis?

I think that our diagnosis changes us in so many ways and our passions don’t fall short on that! I personally changed my career from wanting to be a special education teacher to now working at a non-profit for cancer research. How about you?

I haven’t changed my career path yet, but I’m revving up for it. I have just a short time before retirement and then on to second half of my life!

My path in recent years had taken me back to my love of writing. I worked in Public Relations for many years. I have enjoyed being a Freelance Writer, but only since my battle with blood cancer have I found a new calling as an advocate. The path hasn’t changed but the focus has become more personal.

How cool to take what you did and shift it with your experience. Very inspiring! Thank you for sharing.

I couldn’t agree with you more! My profession has changed slightly from fashion, to brand consulting to patient advocacy. I love it!
