May marks the 1-year anniversary of the Blood-Cancer.com community! In celebration of one year full of meaningful conversations, insightful articles, and an amazing community, we want to share some of the highlights from the past year and give a big thank you to all our members and advocates.
Different diagnoses, one community
While there are numerous different types of blood cancers with their own unique attributes, there are also many similarities in the experiences of patients and caregivers. We continually see unwavering support and interaction between people with different types of blood cancer.
Below are articles that represent different blood cancer diagnoses. Learn more from others with your condition and the similarities in experience among those with a different diagnosis.
Carole: Being part of the Blood Cancer Community has allowed me to “give back” and provide support to my fellow cancer survivors and at the same time learn new things.
Racheli: I value being a part of a blood cancer community because although this was the worst club to join, it is filled with the best members.
Community member: “I’m hanging in there. So glad I found this group! Before I did, I felt so alone and was wondering the fatigue was all in my head.”
A message to the community
It has been an honor to build this community with you over the past year. Each of you has contributed to creating an environment where we can share our emotions freely, without judgment, knowing that there are others who understand what you’re going through. Life with blood cancer can be a roller coaster and sometimes you need to scream, sometimes you need to laugh, and sometimes you just need somebody to ride along with you. That’s why we’re here. Thank you all for showing each other support, sharing your hopes and fears, picking each other up, and most of all, just being here. We look forward to continuing to grow with you over the next year and beyond!
